The Making Waves Foundation
CommunicationWorks, in partnership with 4Site Interactive Studios, developed a comprehensive website for the Making Waves Foundation. The CW/4Site team developed all aspects of the site, including video of key staff, leaders, and parents; much of the photography; a geomapping tool; an online giving section; feature articles and student vignettes; testimonials; policy and research summaries; and informational pieces that captured results and lessons over 20 years, implications for policy and practitioners, and the work across multiple campuses.
The CW team also developed new branding and identity materials for the foundation, including a logo and a fundraising brochure.

Making Waves Foundation
The Making Waves Foundation was launched more than 20 years ago to provide students from underserved communities beginning in fifth grade through college with teaching, tutoring, transportation, nutrition, mental health services, parent/guardian education, test prep, college counseling, and financial aid assistance. Research confirms that this holistic approach yields better results in schools and colleges. Through its history, Making Waves has graduated 98.5 percent of students who enter high school. Nearly 7 in 10 (69 percent) of Wave-Makers have graduated from four-year colleges, increasingly at some of the nation’s most prestigious colleges.
